Meeting Call to Order: 12:05PM

Attendance: Jemerson Diaz, Steve Nguyen, Andrea Siracusa and Tom Snead

Guests: Valerie Actkins, Teno Johnson, Hung Chen and Wenling Chiu.

We were excited to have a great turn out of guests. Valerie, was on her second visit of our Club. She turned in her application and will be come one of our newest members. Teno, Hung Chen and WenLing all joined us after hearing about our Club on the internet. All of our guests are looking for the opportunity to improve their confidence in speaking. We enjoyed having each of them join us today.

Grammarian (Andrea Siracusa): Word of the day was fibbertigibbet (flib-er-tee-jib-ut). The word means to be a silly flighty person. Example sentence: She plays a fibbertigibbet on the sitcom, but in real life she is a no-nonsense kind of girl.

Speakers
Speaker #1: Tom Snead– Tom provided an improptu speech titled "sign your life away." As Tom concluded in his speech - "before signing your life away [such as when making a commitment] do not sign away your life for a second option or a cheap thing - do it for something big."


Evaluations
Master Evaluator was Andrea Siracusa.
Evaluator: Steve Nguyen was the evaluator for Tom’s speech.

Table Topics
Jemerson Diaz provided the Table Topic session this week, via our Table Topic cards. Everyone participated in the session (including all guests). Topics included: craziest things ever bought; best job; unusual fear; seven wonders, etc.

Congratulations to our guest Teno who was voted best Table Topic Speaker.
