Speakers:
Sue Stack delivered a speech titled “Creating the Best Club Climate”. Sue gave a canned speech from the Advanced Communicator Successful Club Series. Projected time was 10-15 min. Actual speech time was 11:52 min.

Table Topics:
Table Topics Session conducted by Steve Nguyen. Spring was the theme.
Flor spoke about her favorite spring time memory. Time was 1:55.
Suzanne (guest) spoke about her favorite spring time activity. Time was 1:33.
Casey (guest) spoke about his favorite spring time activity. Time was 1:22.
Sue spoke about what she looks forward to during the spring. Time was 1:30.

Evaluation:
ME Warren Hinrich introduced himself as evaluator for Sue’s speech. Warren’s evaluation time was 2:49 min. Warren provided a general evaluation of the meeting.


Word of the day – Sequester – To cause to withdraw into seclusion. To remove or set apart; segregate.

Speeches:
Jose Lepervanche – Jose performed his contest speech titled “The Finished Line”. Jose used similes and metaphors to compare life to river rafting, mountain climbing and running a race. Projected time was 5-7 min. Actual time was 6:41 min.
Trent Helms - Trent speech was “3 Corner Points to an Organization”. Trent talked about the three main points in the structure of an organization. Projected time was 7-10 min. Actual time was 9:57 min.

Table Topics: Brian Berry conducted table topics. Theme was “favorites”

Steve spoke his favorite memory involving his son. Time was 1:09.
Nicole told us a funny story about eating crabs with her dad. Time was 2:06.
Trent told us a humorous story from his law enforcement days. Time was 1:42
Sue spoke about going shopping with her daughter. Time was 1:37

Evaluations:
Brian evaluated Jose Speech. Evaluation time was 2:33 min.
Beth evaluated Trent’s speech. Evaluation time was 2:53 min.
We had a round table evaluation for Jose and Nicole as they prepare for the International Speech and Table Topics Contest this Friday.
