Speakers:

Sue gave a speech from the Advanced Communicator Series.  The title was “My Advice for Yout”.  Sue talked about her Toastmaster experience and encouraged members to make the most of their Toastmaster experience by accepting officer roles and competing in contests.  Expected time was 8 - 10 min. 

Table Topics:

Table topics led by Flor.  Participants were asked about there favorite ___.

Printella talked about her favorite animal….cats.  Time was 1:27.

Steve spoke about his favorite number.  Time was 1:27.

Jose spoke about his favorite music.  Time was 2:03.

Diana spoke about her favorite food.  Time was 2:03.

Evaluation:

Steve served as Master Evaluator.  Steve evaluated Sue’s speech.  Evaluation time was 2:00.  Steve gave a general evaluation of the meeting.

Word of the day – sequester – v.  To hide away and practice.

Speaker:

Warren is working on his second CC and his speech was the second project from the Basic Communication Manual – Organize Your Talk.  The title was “Fly Fishing 101”.  Warren spoke with great enthusiasm and passion about the sport of fly fishing and challenge members to try the sport.  Expected time was 5 – 7 min.  Actual time was 6:38.

Evaluation:

Jose Lepervanche served as Master Evaluator and evaluator for Warren’s speech.  Jose gave a general evaluation of the meeting.

Word of the day – Obsolete – Adj.  Old and no longer in use.

Best table topics speaker was Diana.

Club Business:

Area 10 Humorous Speech and Evaluation contest is Saturday September 15 at UF Shands.  Please let Jose know if you plan to compete.
