Speakers:
Kevin Kochensparger completed project no. 5 from the Basic Communication Manual. His speech title was “Golf Swing
Basics”. Kevin made excellent use of
body language as he broke down the fundamental components of a golf swing. Project time was 5 -7 min. Actual time was 5:20.
Printella Bankhead completed his project no. 7 from the Basic Communication
Manual. Her speech title was “Gun
Laws”. Printella gave us an overview of
the gun laws and followed up with her own personal thoughts. Expected time was 8 – 10 min. Actual time was 7:10.
Table Topics (Led by Printella):
Steve spoke about what we need to do to
improve as a club. Time was 1:01.
Jose spoke about how a club should provide
support to its members. Time was 1:48.
Flor spoke about the not so happy times
right in her home country. Time was
1:12.
Printella spoke about what motivates
her. Time was 1:35.
Kevin spoke about what he can accomplish in
10 seconds. Time was 1:02.
Warren spoke about his favorite color
blue. Time was 1:40.
Evaluation:
Jose served as Master Evaluator. Warren evaluated Kevin’s speech. Warren’s evaluation time was 2:07. Jose evaluated Printella’s speech. Jose’s evaluation time was 2:49.
Word of the day – resplendent – adj. Splendid or dazzling in appearance; brilliant.
Next meeting will be May 7. Printella will be Toastmaster.
