Minutes Meeting (11/18/09)

Good morning Top O' The Rock Toastmasters,

We had a productive meeting last Wednesday with Table Topics, and at the same time we ate great food in a small holiday party. I want to thank everyone for attempting to make it. Let's keep it up.

Andrea Siracusa organized our Table Topics which focused on differents subjects, All the participants had the opportunity to participate twice.

Congratulations to our guest Tony Baker who was voted Best Table Topic Speaker. We had another guest Jeidy Feliciano who also participated.

We will not have a meeting next Wednesday 11/25, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Holiday and we will see everyone on December 2nd.

Meeting Call to Order: 12:05PM

Attendance: Jose Lepervanche, Jemerson Diaz, Flor Lepervanche, Steve Nguyen, William Clifford and a new guest Tony Baker.


MEETING:

Grammarian (William Clifford): Word of the day was "Beguile" (bi'gail). The word means to trick you into doing it. When you are charmed and attracted by it.
Speakers:
Speaker #1: William Clifford. William gave his ice breaker speech, titled “Untitled.” William did a great job in introducing himself to the Club.

Evaluations
Master Evaluator was Steve Nguyen
Evaluator was Steve Nguyen.

Table Topics:
Jose Lepervanche provided an easy way to be Table Topics Masters with the cards. He encouraged to the members to sign up for this role.
The Table Topics winner was a new guest Tony Baker.

Meeting Call to Order: 12:05PM

Attendance: Catalina Agustin, Jemerson Diaz, Andrea Siracusa, Sue Stack, Pat Hubbard and William Clifford.


Club Business/Announcements:

We will not be having a meeting on November 25th in celebration of Thanksgiving – but we will have a small holiday party on November 18th. The Club will purchase sandwiches, but we are asking that members bring food. A list of food and drinks will be emailed for people to sign up for an item.

MEETING:

Grammarian (Jemerson Diaz): Word of the day was laconic (lə-kä-nik). The word means to be brief; to minimum words.
Speakers
Speaker #1: Pat Hubbard. Pat gave his ice breaker speech, titled “A Useful Life.” Pat did a great job in introducing himself to the Club.

Master Evaluator was Andrea Siracusa
Evaluator was Jemerson Diaz.

Table Topics:
Sue provided the table topics from the meeting. The topics spanned around various items.
