Speaker – Sue Stack – “ABCs of Toastmasters” – Sue gave an excellent canned speech from the Successful Club Series. Sue presented about The Toastmaster Communication and Leadership tracks – Projected time was 10-15 min. Actual time was 11 minutes 28 seconds.

Evaluator – Jemerson Diaz evaluated Sue’s speech – Time was 3 minutes.

Table Topics – Heat was the theme of the table topic session.

Andrea – Spoke about how she stays cool in the heat. Time was 1:17.
Lorraine – Told us how she could survive without air conditioning . Time was 2:10.
Catalina – Spoke about how a person could go crazy from the heat. Time was 1:36.
Mahesh (Guest) – Told us about his favorite summertime food and beverages. Time was 0:59.
Andrea – Spoke about her first car and life experience. Times were 2:12 and 2:16.

Club Business – Andrea Siracusa inducted VP of Membership role. Lorraine Haataia inducted as member of Top O The Rock.

Today was Jemerson Diaz’s last day at Top O The Rock. He will be leaving Jacksonville and heading to Las Vegas this Sunday. Jemerson, we wish you the best of luck with your endeavors and your new life in Las Vegas.

No prepared speeches today but there was plenty of opportunities to work on our impromptu speaking during table topic session led by Sue Stack.

Good morning Top O' The Rock Toastmasters,


We had a great meeting last week (July 7) –

Lorraine Haataia, Area 10 Governor visited our Club to induct our new Officers using our new Dedicated Leaders Award Gavel.

The new Officers are:

President....Jose Lepervanche
VP of Education......Sue Stack
VP of Public Relations.....Andrea Siracusa
Treasurer.....Catalina Agustin
Secretary.....Steve Nguyen
Sgt. At Arms....Flor Lepervanche


Sue Stack was our Toastmaster and she gave us inspirational thoughts as our Invocator doing a wonderful job.

Jose Lepervanche spoke about “Who is in control” Project # 7 - Competent Communication. Jemerson Diaz evaluated Jose's speech.

Andrea Siracusa provided our Word of the Day (Caterwave) and she served as Table Topic Master and Umm n' Ahh Counter too.

Flor Lepervanche was our Timekeeper too and she was our Vote Counter too.

Lorraine Haataia served as Master Evaluator.

Sue Stack was the winner as the best table topic.


Attendance: Sue Stack, Jemerson Diaz, Flor Lepervanche, Jose Lepervanche, Andrea Siracusa and Lorraine Haataia.
