Warren Hinrichs delivered a speech titled “A Creek Runs Through It”. Warren gave a demonstration speech about fly fishing. This is Project #3 Demonstration Talk from the Speaking to Inform Manual, Advance Communication Series. Projected time was 5-7 min. Actual speech time was 6:48 min.

Table Topics
Table Topics Session conducted by Brian Berry. Theme was meeting related topics.
Jose spoke about how to deal with a long winded speaker. Time was 1:16.
Nicole spoke about the importance of preparation for speeches. Time was 1:04.
Brian H. spoke about his home owner association meeting. Time was 1:36.
Flor spoke about the qualities of a great speaker. Time was 1:34.
Warren spoke about challenging meeting that he had. Time was 1:28.
Steve spoke about his most memorable public speaking experience. Time was 1:01.
Beth spoke about how to run a successful meeting. Time was 1:10.
Brian spoke about how to handle the unexpected during meetings. Time was 1:57.

Evaluation
ME Jose introduced Beth evaluator for Warren’s speech. Beth’s evaluation time was 2:51 min. Jose provided a general evaluation of the meeting.

Speeches
Steve Nguyen delivered a speech titled “Meditation for Better Living”. Steve talked about how one can manage stress by practicing mindfulness of breathing meditation. This was project # 5 The Abstract Concept from the Speaking to Inform Manual, Advance Communication Series. Projected time was 8-10 min. Actual time was 9:00.

Warren Hinrichs delivered a speech titled “Asset Allocation Strategy”. Warren talked about investment themes for this 2011. This is Project #4 Fact Finding Report from the Speaking to Inform Manual, Advance Communication Series. Projected time was 5-7 min. with a 2-3 Q&A. Actual speech time was 6:44 min. and 5:00 min for Q&A.

Evaluations
Sue evaluated Steve’s speech. Sue’s time was 2:00 min. Sue introduced evaluator Lorraine who evaluated Warren’s speech. Lorraine’s time was 3:15 min. Sue provided a general evaluation of the meeting.

We did not have a table topic sessions due to the length of the speeches.
