Meeting Call to Order: 12:00PM

Attendance: Catalina Agustin, Jemerson Diaz, Alison Last, Flor Lepervanche, Jose Lepervanche, Andrea Siracusa, and Sue Stack.


Club Business/Announcements:

Congratulations to Alison Last who was inducted in as our newest member and gave her ice breaker speech about "Labels I wear".

The Area 12 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest will take place on September 26 at the Crowne Plaza. We are hoping for a good turn out from Top O’ The Rock. Any members who can attend are encouraged to register. The Club is looking at the possibility of paying for members to attend. The details of that possibility will be disclosed soon.

IT IS TIME FOR DUES. Please get your $45 membership dues into Catalina NOW. The deadline for members is by 9/23/09.

MEETING:

Grammarian (Andrea Siracusa): Word of the day was countermand (Peradventure). The word means “Possibly; Chance, uncertainty or doubt” Example Sentence: She was, beyond peradventure, one of the greatest writers in the past century.


Speakers
Speaker : Alison Last – Alison provided her first speech in the Competent Communicator manual. Titled “Labels I wear,” Alison talked to us about her labels in life.


Evaluations
Master Evaluator was Catalina Agustin.
Evaluator was Jemerson Diaz.


Table Topics:
Jose Lepervanche provided the table topic session. Sue, Catalina, Flor, Andrea and the guest Josh Nathanson had a chance to speak.


Congratulations to Andrea Siracusa who was voted as the best table topic speaker.
