We had a great meeting today!

Yeidy Feliciano gave her speech # 5 and she got the "Half Way Award" for completing five speeches in the Competent Communicator Manual. Catalina Agustin was her evaluator.



Jemerson Diaz served as Toastmaster. Catalina Agustin was the Master Evaluator too. Sue Stack was Table Topic Master. Flor Lepervanche was the Invocator and the Timekeeper too.

Winners: Yeidy Feliciano as Best Speaker and Best Table Topic; Catalina Agustin as Best Evaluator.

We had a great meeting today!

Flor Lepervanche gave her speech "The Five Love Languages". Jemerson Diaz gave the formal evaluation emphasizing the importance of filling the "Love Tank".

Sue Stack served as Toastmaster and Vote Counter too. Yeidy Feliciano was Table Topic Master. Steve Nguyen was the Master Evaluator and Timekeeper too. Catalina Agustin served as Umm-Ah Counter and Gramarian with the word "Bloviate". Catalina Agustin was the Invocator too.

Winners: Flor Lepervanche as Best Speaker; Jemerson Diaz as Best Evaluator and the guest Robert Feliciano as Best Table Topic.

Meeting Minutes (03/17/2010)

We had a great meeting last Wednesday!

Jemerson Diaz practiced his speech for the International Contest. At the end of the meeting the attendants gave feedback. Andrea Siracusa gave the formal evaluation. Catalina Agustin served as Master Evaluator.

Jose Lepervanche served as Toastmaster and Table Topic Master too. Sue Stack was the Timekeeper and the Gramarian too with the word "Banal". Yeidy Feliciano was the Um and Ah Counter and Flor Lepervanche was the Invocator and Vote Counter too.

Winners: Flor Lepervanche as Best Table Topic; Jemerson Diaz as Best Speaker and Andrea Siracusa as Best Evaluator.

All the attendants approved the motion to deduct $ 6.00 of the membership fee to people to register during the Contest Day (March 20,2010).

Minutes Meeting (03/03/10)

We had a great meeting this afternoon! Jemerson Diaz gave his speech, Lesson from the Soup Kitchen, which was Project # 4, A Touching Story, in the Storytelling Advanced Manual. This speech is also his International Speech Contest speech. After his speech, Jose Lepervanche gave the formal evaluation and some suggestions were made, and compliments were given. Yeidy Feliciano gave her speech # 2 about her teaching passion. Andrea gave the formal evaluation emphasizing the passion that she shows when she talks about her passion for teaching.

Andrea Siracusa served as Toastmaster and Timekeeper too. Flor Lepervanche as Um and Ah Counter and Gramarian and Steve Nguyen as Master Evaluator and Vote Counter. Flor picked “charlatan” as our Word of the Day.

Warren Hinrichs was the Table Topics Master and the invocator too.

Minute 02/24/10

Good afternoon, Top O’ The Rockers!

We had a great meeting this afternoon! For those who could not come, you missed a great time! Jemerson Diaz gave his speech, Lesson from the Soup Kitchen, which was Project # 4, A Touching Story, in the Storytelling Advanced Manual. This speech is also his International Speech Contest speech. After his speech, Andrea gave the formal evaluation and then we had a roundtable evaluation. Some suggestions were made, and compliments were given. Jemerson will be doing his speech again before the Area Contest on March 20.

Sue Stack served as Toastmaster, William Clifford as Timekeeper, Steve Nguyen as Um and Ah Counter, Yeidy Feliciano as Grammarian, and Andrea Siracusa as Master Evaluator. Yeidy picked “faze” as our Word of the Day. As Toastmasters, we should not let anything faze us since we are training to be versatile on our feet!

You may have noticed “Backwards Day” on March 31. This meeting will be done backwards – in other words, evaluations before speeches. You might be wondering how that would work. Basically, the evaluator can say that the speaker did something in his/her speech such as saying, “La La La,” or moving their arms around, and then the speaker would have to incorporate that into his/her speech. It really keeps you on your toes since you have to remember to do what the evaluator said that you did. Same type of scenario with Um and Ah and Grammarian – whatever they said you did, you have to do. It should be fun and will definitely be different!

Everyone please note, as you will see on the attached schedule. The Area 12 contest is on March 20th and our Club meeting location will be hosting it. I hope to see a great turnout in support of our contestants and because the contest is being held at our club meeting location. A flier will be sent out over the weekend/Monday the latest

Good morning Top O' The Rock Toastmasters,

We had a great meeting this week – Catalina Agustin was our Toastmaster and she did a wonderful job. Flor Lepervanche provided our Word of the Day (Xenophobia) and Yeidy Feliciano gave us inspirational thoughts as our Invocator. We had one speaker Yeidy Feliciano with her speech Icebraker. Steve Nguyen evaluated Yeidy’s speech.

Jose Lepervache was the Table Topics Master and he asked various questions about "The Olimpics Games in the life". Andrea Siracusa served as Timekeeper. William Clifford served as Vote Counter and Sue Stack as Ah Counter. Sue Stack was our Master Evaluator too.

Winners: Flor Lepervanche as Best Table Topic; Yeidy Feliciano as Best Speaker and Steve Nguyen as Best Evaluator.
